97.7 WRYD-FM Launches Today
TBTA Ministries is pleased to welcome a new frequency to our Revocation Radio Network. Take Back the Airwaves (TBTA) ministries, a non profit, 501(c)3 ministry, began in 2007, and went on air with Revocation Radio in January of 2011. Since then we have grown to over 4 frequences and provide programming to 5 frequencies in the state of Alabama. We are the fastest growing radio network in the Southeast.
Our mission is to provide an alternative to secular rock and hip-hop stations. Music is a powerful force that can be used for a great and mighty purpose. We strive to bring the best music to the airwaves with our unique blend of Alternative Christian music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In April of 2018, we were blessed with an opportunity to purchase, 97.7FM, a powerful FM station based out of Jemison, Alabama. This station has served its community well over the years. On April 18, 2018, the TBTA Ministries Board of Directors voted to purchase this frequency and expand the Revocation Radio Network. With over 1.5 million people in potential reach, we will be able to serve even more communities from the Birmingham Metro to Tuscaloosa and East Central Alabama.
Revocation Radio is the only station on terrestrial frequencies that broadcasts our specific mix of Christian Rock and Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop music is so prevalent and influential in today’s society and culture, that we believe it is imperative to broadcast a Christian alternative. We offer music that is the same or better quality as what you would hear in secular music, but with a message of love, hope, and peace. The message of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we should live by a code of excellence, as we honor the Father in all facets of life.
Revocation Radio is a new generation in broadcasting. Formed from a vision shared by each of our board members and staff, Revocation Radio aims to “Take Back the Airwaves.” With its 4 FM frequencies, Smartphone Apps and Interactive website, Revocation Radio wants to reach out and help the communities we serve. We strive to reach the lost with the positive, life-breathing message of the Gospel. We are excited to bring our unique mix of Rock and Hip-Hop to the Birmingham market.
