About TBTA Ministries

Established in 2007, TBTA Ministries acquired its non-profit status on June 14, 2010. In the same year, the organization purchased two FM frequencies, 88.1 FM WKRE and 88.5 FM WKUA. On January 24, 2011, Revocation Radio debuted on 88.1 FM WKRE in St. Clair County, swiftly attracting listeners despite its limited range. The completion of a tower, management building, and antenna in 2012 allowed 88.5 FM WKUA to start broadcasting. This frequency quickly amassed an audience, making it the most popular station for Revocation Radio. August 2018 marked the launch of Revocation Radio’s Birmingham Frequency, which achieved remarkable growth in a short period.

Why THIS Music?

Music, as Jimi Hendrix said, is a powerful medium through which we can explain everything better. Today’s secular music is voicing harmful messages about drug use, sexual promiscuity, alcoholism, and materialism, particularly towards the younger generation. Secular music insinuates that such behaviors are acceptable, simply because “everyone else is doing it.” Revocation Radio, on the other hand, offers music of comparable or superior quality, but with a message of love, hope, and peace—the teachings of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are called to uphold a code of excellence, glorifying the Father in every aspect of life.

Music is a universal language, uniting individuals worldwide. Popular songs resonate from New York to India to Tokyo. Yet, these songs often transmit detrimental messages, particularly influencing the impressionable 12-18 year-olds most in sync with today’s music. This issue has spanned decades, resulting in an increase in adults aged 35-60 living for worldly pleasures, influenced by secular music, instead of the Creator of All Things who wishes to save them. It’s clear that falsehoods have been seeded into popular songs and even advertising throughout history, falsely reassuring that succumbing to peer pressure or fleeting pleasure is acceptable.
