This week alone, I’ve seen multiple cars that have run off the road and they are stuck in a ditch and even a pond. I saw as rescuers worked with these people, got them out of the car and cared for them. It didn’t matter if the accident was their fault or not, they treated them just the same. I watched as the wrecker truck pulled a car out of the pond. I began thinking, “That’s gonna be expensive.”

But then God started talking to me. He said, “Anthony, I do this for my children all the time. When they skid off the road into a ditch, into a pond or just get off the road and get in to trouble, I am always there.” Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our

refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

God is always there for you to help you out of the ditch. David knows this. He writes in Psalm 40:2 “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

It does not matter what you have done or even thought about doing. It doesn’t matter if the reason you skid off the road is your own fault. Romans says that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. God loves you with an AGAPE, an unconditional type of love. That no matter where you are or what you have done, He comes to our rescue time after time for free. Why free? Because Jesus Christ came over 2,000 years ago to pay your “tow bill” in full.
